The Studio for Virtual Typography was founded in London in 2005 following a business development grant provided by the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA). The business, which has since received multiple design and product development awards, evolved from a research into the effective use of typography in the context of multimedia and visual communications. Instead of simply increasing the pace of communication, we focuse on the aesthetic impact time-based information has on the recipient. In other words, we make sure that the information, which is communicated, is appreciated, understood and remembered. Our areas of work include information design, editorial design, branding, multimedia communications as well as service design. We also engage in academic research, deliver workshops and we utilise our knowledge and experience to create innovative works of fine art.
